Meet the Team

Technical Director

Ian Shaw

Ian has been a key player in the automation industry, working with some of the biggest names such as Nestle, Boehringer & Ingelheim and UKRI's Central Laser Facility. His experience and expertise have enabled him to bring significant improvements and value to these businesses. He has a proven track record for delivering successful automation projects, helping organisation to reach their goals faster and more cost-effectively.

He began his career with a solid electrical engineering background, completing an indentured apprenticeship with an HNC & HND in Instrumentation and Control.

With 30 years of experience in electrical design, including both hardware and software roles Ian has spent most of his working life in and around the pharmaceutical, food beverage and scientific industrial automation sector.

Managing Director

Chris Downing

Chris has extensive experience in the electrical engineering field. For the past 23 years, he has worked in industries such as food, agriculture and marine navigation, developing a well-rounded portfolio. He is a seasoned professional, able to easily apply his expertise to provide effective solutions and comprehensive guidance.

Starting as an apprentice electrical engineer in 2000 Chris completed his training, including NVQ levels 2 and 3 as well as HNC in Electrical Engineering.

After over two decades of experience in design, build and installation. He spent 10 years as a technical consultant for an Autodesk Platinum Partner, guiding companies in of CAD solutions. His extensive experience includes teaching, configuring and consulting numerous CAD solutions. His knowledge and expertise make him an invaluable asset to any organization.
